FCPD Open Data Portal shows year-end crime trends in Mount Vernon Police District

Based on an analysis of year-end data from the Fairfax County Police Open Data Portal’s* Crime Mapping Dashboard by Mount Vernon On the MoVe, an overall increase in crimes against person and property in the Mount Vernon Police District from 2023 to 2024 was largely attributable to a surge in simple assaults and larcenies.
