About the event
In 2001, The Villamay Community Association "adopted" Gil McCutcheon Park as part of Fairfax County's Adopt-A-Park program. Our community has maintained close ties with the Park Authority ever since, including events that led up to the acquisition and designation of the property as a Community Park, preserving it for our community to enjoy for decades to come. In 2017, our community was recognized for its efforts on behalf of the park with the Elly Doyle Community Service Award.
In short, Villamay has a long-standing tradition of taking care of Gil McCutcheon (formerly Lamond) Park and preserving its natural beauty for us and our surrounding communities to enjoy.
Please join us as we continue this tradition with a Park Workday.
